In my 40+ years as a Demarest resident I've had the priveledge to get to know so many of you!

You may see me running at the NVD track, helping out at the Demarest 5K, announcing a swim meet at the Demarest Swim Club or grabbing lunch outside my office in Closter.

My community involvement is comprehensive and includes:​

• Volunteering on the Princeton Alumni Schools Committee interviewing prospective applicants to Princeton from the Northern Valley School District.

• Working locally within the district as a dentist treating the community.  

• Serving on the Demarest Swim Club Board - streamlining the operating budget allowing the pool to operate at a net positive.  

• Established the Joanna Shyong Scholarship Fund  for a graduating NVD senior in memory of my mother who was a long-time educator in the district.

• In the short time I lived in Closter, I served on the Zoning Board of Adjustments.​
